A final blog post for the year
It’s the time of year to put down all active projects in development, from brand films to short stories and reflect on a year of creativity.
The second half of this year has flown by thanks to some amazing projects that I’ve been lucky to be a part of. Of course, there are always some undertakings that don’t quite make it to the finishing line in time to round off the year – but thanks to the amazing things that have come to fruition in 2017, I’m happy to lay down my pen and director’s hat for a brief rest, ready to come back fighting in the New Year.
This year has been a particularly great one for collaboration. Firstly, at my regular post at Fine Rolling Media, but also with many other talented people in the industry. It’s been a pleasure to work with New Realm Marketing, Roland DG, Requiem Pictures, Federico Francescato, and Shannon Britton – just to name a few. Make sure you check out all the great work they do. I can’t wait to see what projects we cook up together next year.
So, in the spirit of counting down until Christmas, I’ll leave you with some of the festive themed videos and brand films that I’ve worked on in the second half of 2017.
I had great fun dipping my toe into the world of fashion videography while working with Fine Rolling Media on capturing the Peacocks Christmas Range.
Another Fine Rolling Media Project. Diamond Centre Wales had the vision to allow us to create a brand film with a narrative and a cinematic vision. The results are clear as day. This ranks very high on the list of favourite things I’ve been able to write and bring to life. Surely you couldn’t ask for a better gift than diamonds at Christmas.
Look out for a more in-depth blog post on this from www.finerollingmedia.co.uk in the new year.
Roland DG rounds off the year in style, with their latest collaboration with Fine Rolling Media. This Christmas themed video was a pleasure to write – but an absolute delight to shoot. The team at Roland’s UK branch once again showed how far they are willing to go for good video content – this time even dressing up as Santa and his fellow cast of helpers to bring this festive brand film to life.
That’s it for another year. Although, if the creative mood takes hold of you over the Christmas break between mouthfuls of turkey, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Let’s make something special together in the New Year!
